After half a month of research, 1.5 months of development and one month of commissioning, another MES project entered stable operation. The project upgraded the customer's legacy andon system — removing the central control cabinet and adopting a smart andon system with data acquisition to bring information flow into production management and raise shop-floor management.
The MES go-live delivered: 1) Planning — paperless work orders integrated with ERP and released with real-time status tracking; 2) Production — mobile work-order receiving and WeChat mini-program operation, output-assisted collection and confirmed reporting; 3) Andon exception calls with real-time status plus dashboard and alert notifications; 4) First-article and in-process inspection records. With years of lean experience, this MES rollout took the customer another step toward a lean-based digital factory!
